Mosaic: Sacred Springs. Explore the history and lifestyle of the original inhabitants of the Tongva village at Kuruvungna.\u00a0<\/p>

Kuruvungna meaning \u201cplace where we are in the sun,\u201d is located around the site of ancient springs that\u00a0provided fresh water for the thriving village and\u00a0later,\u00a0inspired the naming of Santa Monica and served as an early source of its water supply.\u00a0<\/p>

Presenters:\u00a0Bob Ramirez, President of the Gabrielino-Tongva Springs Foundation. Desiree Martinez, President of Cogstone Resource Management and co-Director of the Pimu Catalina Island Archaeology Project.\u00a0<\/p>
