The theme of this workshop will be the rancho system in Southern California.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish and, later, Mexican governments encouraged the settlement of California through a land grant system. Land grant titles were government-issued, permanent, unencumbered property ownership rights to land called ranchos. Rancho boundaries became the basis for California\u2019s land survey system, and their names often survive on modern maps and land titles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>RSVP is requested, registration is available at the door. Every workshop is offered free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Questions?
