City of Santa Monica

The City of Santa Monica has generously provided financial support to the Santa Monica History Museum for many years for special preservation projects. In 2004, the City awarded the museum a five-year grant for the preservation and cataloging of the Senator John P. Jones Collection, the co-founder of Santa Monica. Most significantly, the city generously provided the Santa Monica History Museum a new 5,000 square foot facility at the Santa Monica Main Public Library campus. The City has also made a major contribution toward the build-out of the new museum.
