On Saturday, February 22 at 2 PM, join us for a free Discover the History lecture with Michael Murphy, Jens Lucking and Stephen Anaya at the Santa Monica History Museum. Immediately following the lecture, enjoy a special closing reception as we bid farewell to the popular exhibition, “Santa Monica Pleasure Pier: A Look Back to 1917 From Today.”
The trio collaborated on, “Santa Monica Pleasure Pier: A Look Back to 1917 From Today,” the award-winning book that inspired the Museum’s closing exhibition. Learn how they transformed Charles Looff’s original photographs, plans, and drawings into a visual exploration of the Santa Monica Pier as it appeared in 1917 and today.
