Hands on History Creative Workshops
Saturday April 26, 2025
2:00-4:00 pm
Discover the history and diverse beauty of the trees that shape our neighborhoods on a guided walk with Stephanie Carrie, creator of the popular Instagram account TreesOfLA.
Stephanie is dedicated to helping Angelinos identify trees in the LA urban forest — one of the most diverse in the world! In an effort to expand on the powerful presence and mindfulness of interacting with the urban forest, Stephanie has expanded her online educational offerings to include IRL tree tours where you can touch, smell and even taste the trees as you learn about the wonders of the nature around you.
The experience will be paired with free access to the museum’s exhibition Roots and Branches, giving you the chance to connect the natural world with the rich cultural history of Santa Monica.
Sunday February 2, 2025
