This Year’s Theme!

The Santa Monica History Museum plays a vital role in our community in how we tell the stories of who we are and where we come from. This year’s theme, Celebrating Love & Peace in our Community, recognizes the contributions of those who have gone above and beyond to promote peace and well-being in our community.

Susan Gabriel Potter, President, Santa Monica History Museum
WISE & Healthy Aging

Susan Gabriel Potter President of the Santa Monica History Museum – Our fearless leader since she took the reins from her beloved mom and museum co-founder Louise Gabriel. Sue has been the guiding force as not only our museum president but also our conscience as we have strive to improve both our physical space, and our commitment to our diverse and complex history!

WISE & Healthy Aging is celebrating their 50th year of serving the Santa Monica community, advancing the dignity and quality of life of older adults through leadership, advocacy and high-quality innovative services. Their long tradition of service and outreach is dedicated to enriching the lives of our seniors.

Iao Katagiri  – Iao Katagiri, who recently passed away, was a longtime community leader and passionate champion of local non-profits, serving on many boards throughout the city.
