2) Fill out the form or add to cart
3) Pay and receive
For images not in our Gift Shop, use our online form and follow the instructions on how to fill out and submit.
A quote is generally produced within 3-5 business days of receipt of your order and will be sent to you via email (preferable) or fax. Once payment is received, your photo order will be processed. Most orders arrive at the museum for pickup within 7 business days or are delivered directly to the customer. Digital orders will be available via download link.

Appropriate sales tax, shipping and handling is applied to each order. Custom size prints may require additional charge to handle the shipping and packaging of larger items.Quality

Paper Type: Semi Matte (default), Glossy
Borders: With border (default), no borders
Digital: A high resolution file as a JPG at 300 dpi. No physical item will be delivered.
NOTE: Unless otherwise specified, the image is sized to best fit the paper size. This means there may be a white border around the image. Borderless is also available, which enlarges the image to cover the paper size.

- Make note of the Catalog Number and Title of all desired photos

- Fill out Intent of Use section, as detailed as possible
- Enter the Catalog Number, Photo Title, and the desired Print Size

Conditions for Reproduction
- The right to reproduce materials held in the Santa Monica History Museum is granted on a one-time basis only. Any further reproduction of these materials is prohibited without the express written permission of the Santa Monica History Museum.
- Materials are reproduced for research use only and may not be altered in any way or used in publication, exhibition, or any other public purpose without the express written consent of the Santa Monica History Museum.
- Any publication, exhibition, or other public use of materials reproduced from the collections must credit the Santa Monica History Museum.
- In requesting permission to reproduce materials from the collections of the Santa Monica History Museum as described, the requester agrees to hold harmless the Santa Monica History Museum and its Trustees, Officers, and agents either jointly or severally from any action involving infringements of the rights of any person or their heirs and descendants in common law or under statutory copyright.
- Permission to reproduce material in which reproduction rights are reserved must be granted by signed written permission of the persons holding those rights.
- Consideration of the requirements of copyrights is the responsibility of the author, producer, and publisher.
Applicants assume all responsibility for questions of copyright and invasion of privacy that may arise in copying and using the materials. - Conditions governing the use of reproductions provided by the Santa Monica History Museum will be specified in the written contractual agreements generated by the Museum for commercial uses. Rights granted by the Museum are valid only upon the Museum’s receipt of the signed agreement and payment of the amount specified in the agreement.
Copyright Restrictions
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies and other
reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are
authorized to furnish reproductions. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is
not to be used “for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research.” If a user makes a request for,
or later uses, a reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright
infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment
of the order would involve violation of copyright law.The Museum reserves the right to charge additional fees depending upon the requested usage. All fees are subject to change
