The next Discover the History lecture in our 2018 series will be Saturday, January 20th, at 3:00pm. This event will be a panel discussion on the history of Providence Saint John’s Health Center. Speakers will include: John R. Sellman, MD Past Saint John’s Health Center Board of Directors (1991 – 1997), and its treasurer from 1995-1997, elected Chairman effective November 1, 1998. Past president of the medical staff in 1985 and 1986 and chairman of the Department of Surgery from 1988-1990. Discover the History: The Cheetah Club The next Discover the History lecture in our 2017 series will be Tuesday, August 15th at 6:30pm Our lecture will focus on the history of the lesser known Cheetah Club.  Transformed from the Aragon Ballroom in 1967, the Cheetah Club hosted some of the most iconic acts in Rock’n Roll history.  In its short run, the venue would see the likes of Ike and Tina Turner, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, and many more. The Santa Monica History Museum is excited to announce the next lecture in its free Discover the History lecture series will be Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 at 7:00pm at the Santa Monica History Museum at 1350 7th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
