Arts in Santa Monica

DATE:  April 25, 2020
TIME:  11am – noon

Join us at our FREE Hands on History craft event for children.

This month’s craft activity Join us for a fun and informative activity as we craft a shadow puppet theater.

Children and their parents are invited to this free series occurring on select Saturdays from 11 AM to Noon throughout the year. Each session includes a brief, age-appropriate history lesson in the galleries followed by a craft or activity.

Each workshop is engaging and educational for elementary age (5 – 11 years) children. Topics for the workshops rotate to feature seasonal lessons and activities.

RSVP is requested and also available at the door. Each workshop is free of charge.

By creating something hand-made related to history topics, children create memories based on their history lessons. Families can expect a fun-filled learning hour at the Museum!

Join us Saturday, March 21, at 3 pm for a free Discover the History discussion and access to museum galleries. Leaders from the League of Women Voters of Santa Monica will discuss changing roles of women in society and the league’s history and impact over the last 100 years, nationally and locally. Join this thought-provoking discussion and visit the new exciting women’s suffrage exhibition opening March 7 (and visit our current exhibition, Santa Monica Pleasure Pier: A Look Back to 1917 from Today,” closing February 22). To RSVP, call (310) 395-2290 or email rsvp@santamonicahistory.org.

We look forward to seeing you there!
