Discover the History

The next Discover the History lecture in our 2017 series will be Tuesday, August 15th at 6:30pm

Our lecture will focus on the history of the lesser known Cheetah Club.  Transformed from the Aragon Ballroom in 1967, the Cheetah Club hosted some of the most iconic acts in Rock’n Roll history.  In its short run, the venue would see the likes of Ike and Tina Turner, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, and many more.

We hope you will join us for a lecture on this hidden treasure! Our lecturer will be museum volunteer and archival intern:

Ben Salin

This program is free and open to all ages. Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis.  This event will be held at the Santa Monica History Museum, 1350 7th St, Santa Monica CA 90401.  The museum can be reached by following routes to the Main Library.  The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, 7, R7, R10 and 18. Ride your bike? Bicycle parking racks are available at the library. The Santa Monica History Museum is wheelchair accessible.

This lecture is offered free, but space is limited. Please RSVP by calling (310) 395-2290 or emailing [email protected].

We hope to see you there!
