Mission

The Santa Monica History Museum collects and preserves the history, art, and culture of Santa Monica Bay Area and is the guardian/caretaker of its history. The Museum aims to provide public access to its historical collections through interpretive exhibitions, on and off-site programs and archival and research services for youth and adults

Vision

This Quinn Gallery exhibition celebrates the lisfe of building designer vernon Brunson, who created most of the local Black churches as well as numerous homes and businesses in and around Santa Monica

The exhibit will feature his architectural drawings as well as historic artifacts and photographs, situating Vernon in the context of contemporary Black architects, such as Paul Revere Williams and others in his circle.

Vernon Brunson: From the Ground Up will focus on the important historical role of Vernon Brunson, a Black engineer who designed many of downtown Santa Monica’s buildings, but who was denied the title of architect due to institutional racism.

Sponsorship of this exhibit enables your company to connect with over 5,000 visitors during its exhibition, including local residents and tourists. In addition, the Santa Monica History Museum boasts a mailing list of over 3,000 subscribers and a social media reach of over 1.7 million.

Brunson Terrace $50k

The Brunson Terrace is recognized through top billing on dedicated, prominent signage. The Sponsor will recieve ten VIP tickets to the exhibit opening reception and be given the opportunity to speak at both the reception and Stand Ups for History, the annual event in October. A private tour of the exhibit with the curator and the director will be offered to up to 25 guests. Additionally, the Brunson Terrace will be recognized in promotional collateral via print, on our website and social media.

Poet $25k

Sponsor at the Poet level help tell a more inclusive history of our region and are recognized aith top billing on dedicated, prominent signange throughout the museum. The sponsor will recieve four VIP tickets to the exhibit opening reception and our annual event in October, Stand Ups for History. Additionally, the Poet will be recognized in promotional collateral via print, on our website and social media

Pilot $15k

Pilot Sponsorship offers the opportunity to support the overall production of the programming. The sponsor will receive for VIP tickets to the exhibit opening reception and on our annual event in October, Stand Ups for History. Additionally, the Pilot will be recognized in gallery signage, and promotional collateral via print on our website and social media.

Polymath $10k

Polymath Sponsors provide support to tours, community outreach, and social media engagement. This sponsor will recieve two VIP tickets to the exhibit opening reception and our annual event in October, Stand Ups for History. Additionally, the Polymath will be recognized in gallery signage and promotional collateral via print on our website and social media.

Friend $5k

A generous donation of $5,000 support one week of programming for museum visitors of all ages. Friends recieve tow VIP tickets to the exhibit opening reception and our annual event in October, Stand Ups for History. Additionally, the Friend will be recognized in gallery signage, on our website and on social media

Designer $1k

A generous donation of $1,000 support one weekend of programming for museum visitor of all ages. Friends recieve two VIP tickets to the exhibit opening reception and our annual event in October, Stand Ups for History.
