Life at the Miramar

2011 – 2014

The images and documents in this exhibition are from the start point of open space (circa 1874) deed of land purchase by Senator Jones from Col. Baker.

The Miramar served as a center of activities and social gatherings of the Jones and notable guests, pageants and outdoors theatricals which continued after The Miramar became a hotel, in 1924, transformation of landscape, city development up through 1890’s till Senator Jones death in 1912.
