This year’s theme, Celebrating Love & Peace in our Community, recognizes the contributions of those who have gone above and beyond to promote peace and well-being in our community.

Susan Gabriel Potter President of the Santa Monica History Museum – Our fearless leader since she took the reins from her beloved mom and museum co-founder Louise Gabriel. Sue has been the guiding force as not only our museum president but also our conscience as we have strive to improve both our physical space, and our commitment to our diverse and complex history!
WISE & Healthy Aging is celebrating their 50th year of serving the Santa Monica community, advancing the dignity and quality of life of older adults through leadership, advocacy and high-quality innovative services. Their long tradition of service and outreach is dedicated to enriching the lives of our seniors.
Iao Katagiri – Iao Katagiri, who recently passed away, was a longtime community leader and passionate champion of local non-profits, serving on many boards throughout the city. She worked at Rand for over 40 years where she became the first Director of Community relations. She will be missed, but we celebrate her legacy and her commitment to Integrity and Optimism, the words she chose to represent her IAO Katagiri fund at SMC.
