From the Ground Up, The Life of Vernon Brunson

The Quinn Gallery is a partnership of the Santa Monica History Museum and the Quinn Research Center (QRC). The Quinn Gallery advances the museum’s commitment to inclusivity as we continue our mission to share the rich, diverse history of the Santa Monica Bay area. The QRC is an archive of Black family history and Santa Monica Bay culture. Established by Carolyne and Bill Edwards, as a tribute to the legacy of Dr. Alfred T. Quinn, a prominent Santa Monica Black educator and community leader.

Experience The Broadway Neighborhood in AR

SNAP’s augmented reality capabilities offer an exciting opportunity to share the history of the Broadway Neighborhood on the street where it happened.  Utilizing historical photographs, City-Scale technology brings the exhibition to life, inviting viewers to walk along a route to witness a thriving community full of schools, homes, and businesses. This innovative AR experience provides context and insight into this historic neighborhood’s past, and what it might have looked like today. Download the SNAP app to your mobile device then go explore Broadway between 20th and 17th.

The Quinn Gallery is made possible through the generous support of our gallery sponsors.
